Monterra GC

Monterra GC
A Thomas McBroom design, Monterra GC is an expansive layout at the foot of the Blue Mountains of Collingwood, ON. The mountainside topography presents scenic vistas of the course and the mountains from a number of elevations where focus and shots are easily lost to the mountain scenery.
Monterra GC Water - both lakes and creeks - dominates the course, coming into play on eleven holes. With numerous fairway, greenside and waste bunkers, OB and inhospitable perimenters, this course is both a treat and treachery. Large, undulating and fast greens add to the Monterra test, and some pin placements may seem downright cruel.
Throughout the course are a number of environmentally sensitive areas (ESAs), fairway treelines and a thick, shaggy rough that must be avoided to make pars. Large, strategically positioned fairway and waste bunkers gobble up wayward drives, making approach shot positioning rather than long drives the key to good scoring.
Few courses in Ontario look like Monterra and fewer still play like it. There are no weak holes, not even the short par-4 3rd, and many great ones. A round at Monterra is tantamount to experiencing the best of Ontario golf, the inspiration and creativity of a classic McBroom design and the subtle beauty of the Blue Mountains.

Monterra GC facilities include a clubhouse, pro shop, change rooms, putting / chipping green, practice bunker and driving range.
