Surely, one of the best golf courses built in Ontario in recent years, the Copper Creek Golf Club appears to have always been a part of a landscape naturally suited to golf. Situated in the Humber Valley near Kleinburg, Copper Creek Golf Club is regarded as one of the premier public golf courses in Canada.

From the palatial clubhouse, the first or tenth tees or the 19th Hole, this layout is stunning. The Doug Carrick masterpiece has quickly become a GTA favourite, and the 10th hole is among the most feared holes in Ontario golf. Copper Creek Golf Club was selected Best New Course (2002) by Ontario Golf.
Copper Creek Golf Club |
The Copper Creek Golf Club could serve as an icon for both modern golf course architecture and Carrick golf designs, especially holes # 1-3 and # 12-18. Those holes feature panoramic vistas from tee boxes and greens, long carries over diagonal hazards, plenty of water, numerous tilted bunkers, mounding, wide fairways and large, undulating greens. The middle part of the course, arguably the most beautiful and challenging stretch, winds through woodlots bordering Copper Creek and thrills golfers with exaggerated tee box elevations on holes # 4, 5 and 10 - probably the course's signature hole.

On the scorecard at least, the par-5s and par-3s offer the best opportunities to score well, while the par-4s offer the real test. True to Carrick design, most holes offer risk-reward options, including reachable par-5s (over water) and short-to-mid-iron par-3s.
Ideally suited for corporate outings and tournament golf, Copper Creek Golf Club offers outstanding clubhouse facilities, pro shop, fine food services and halfway house grill, practice range, putting green, golf carts (incl.), changerooms & lockers
