Best New Course (2004)

In the category of Ontario's Best New Course, courses had to officially open during the 2005 golf season. To qualify, courses must also be 18 holes, at least 6000 yards off the white / men's tees, and par 68 or higher. Teeing It Up ONTARIO has made every effort to include all new qualifying courses in its survey.

Best New Ontario Course

The Rees Jones Course at Grand Niagara Resort has been selected as both Niagara's and Ontario's "Best New Course" (2005) - the first golf course to win both "best new" awards.

The latest jewel of Niagara golf – perhaps the shiniest yet – is an inspiring layout, a mix of parkland and links-style holes and provides some truly challenging golf.

At 7,560 yards from "the tips" and multiple tee boxes, the Rees Jones Course includes a strategic mix of tall fescue grasses, sparkling ponds, tree lined fairways and open rolling terrain.     (more ... )
