| Par 4s
"Once played - never forgotten" |
 |
| Niagara golf is a wonderful mix of older and new designs that include more than a few demanding par-4s - holes that challenge even big hitters. And, fairly for shorter hitters (and that’s most of us), each should offer a strategic option less demanding off the tee. |
 |
Every Niagara golf course has demanding par-4s that add balance against shorter par-3s and 4s - but not by length alone. The best 4-pars add a variety of elements that set them apart - elevation changes, dogleg designs, fairways bunnkers, small greens, strategically located bunkers and water hazards. To be fair though, there must also be an opportunity for shorter hitters to salvage par or bogey, even without reaching the green in two shots. |
| With golf courses getting longer, long par-4s are becoming the norm - holes stretching to 450 yards. Designed to bring fairway woods / metals, hybrid / rescue clubs and long irons back into the game, Niagara's longer par 4s challenge and sometimes frustrate even the best golfers. But, it's all about balance, and here are some of Niagara's best par-4s. |
