Niagara Golf Better by Design Not since Niagara Parks commissioned legendary golf course architect Stanley Thompson to design Whirlpool Golf Course back in 1947 has golf course design been so much the focus here in Niagara.

In recent years, the Niagara golf landscape has undergone a dramatic transformation with the opening of several championship layouts. Presently, the big news in Niagara golf is the building of four more signature courses over the next few years, three of which are part of golf resort developments. Niagara's championship golf courses have been designed by some of Canada's most renowned course architects, and in terms of challenge, landscaping, visual aesthetics, course conditioning, facilities, staff, services and amenities, Niagara courses rival those found anywhere in Canada.
