(at Gray Rocks)
The region's oldest golf course, La Belle is a classic design with a unique blend of open, wooded and mountainside holes. One of the few courses where walking is an option, this scenic course incorporates everything that defines Laurentians golf, from dense stands of pine to extreme elevation changes, lush fairways and just enough treachery. |

While relatively new, La Bete is considered by many to be the region's finest course, and playing a round there may well substantiate that claim. A Graham Cooke design, the course is challenging yet fair, beautiful and beguiling. A stunning layout from start to finish, La Bete winds along a series of plateaus and elevations that offer scenic vistas of the Laurentian Mountains and the Devil's River. |

(at Tremblant)
Perhaps the best-known, most demanding course in the area, Le Geant is truly gigantic. Its mountainous terrain offers spectacular views throughout while testing every facet of the game, from tee to green. Sound golf course management and a confident tee game are essential since there are numerous dramatic elevation changes and few, if any, level lies. |

Site of the 1999 "Skins Game", the ad tag for this Arizona-style course warns "devilish temptation - wickedly diabolic". Requiring accuracy, strategic ball placement and patience, Le Diable has more sand than the Sahara - in the form of waste bunkers and sand traps - and winds through the heart of a red pine forest. Generous landing areas and its flat terrain make Le Diable appear vulnerable, but it is both demanding and deceptive. |

(in Mont Tremblant)
A Fred Couples signature design, Le Maitre is open for play to guests staying at some Mont Tremblant resorts. A mix of parkland, woodland and links-style holes, generous rolling fairways, large greens and elevation changes make for an enjoyable test of golf, while strategic bunkering makes ball placement and good course management the keys to a good score. |

A wonderful test of golf, Manitou is nothing less than an exec-18 masterpiece and deserving of a place in any review of Laurentians golf. A wonderful blend of links, Arizona wasteland and Carolinas styles, this Darrell Huxham layout is challenging, thoroughly enjoyable and pleasing to the eye. A unique putting course that provides both good practice and an opportunity for friendly competitions is also of site. |
